Adoption

As there is no formal agreement between Australia and Vietnam regarding adoptions, enquiries regarding adoption of children outside Australia should be directed to the Principal Migration Officer at the Department of Immigration and Multicultural Affairs (DIMA) in the Consulate-General in Ho Chi Minh City. Adoption procedures may involve the certification of original documents or the witnessing of signatures. These services are available at both the Embassy and the Consulate-General.
