The Future
Australia and Vietnam are working towards a good understanding of each other's defence organisations and ways of doing business. This will take time and Australia wishes to progress its defence relationship with Vietnam only at a pace comfortable to both sides.
Australia's long term vision is for a robust defence relationship with Vietnam that will include high level dialogue, the conduct of regular visits at all working levels, training exchange programs and eventually operational interaction between the two countries' defence forces.
