Drugs

It is illegal to import or export illicit drugs of any quantity into or out of Vietnam. The penalties for carrying illegal drugs can be severe and can include life imprisonment or even the death sentence. Special consideration is not given to Australian citizens or other non-Vietnamese citizens in determining such sentences or in seeking to reduce them.
